XV International scientific-practical conference “RESEARCH PROBLEMS OF MUSICAL CULTURE OF TURKIC NATIONS” has been held. The event, opened at the ANAS Central Scientific Library was jointly organized by ANAS, Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art and Azerbaijan National Conservatory. The conference was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the First Turkish Congress. After plenary session, the conference continued on 4 sections. Notably, several reports, “Musical turkology: achievements, problems” by Fattah Khaligzade, “Views on availability of stringed musical instruments of Turkic peoples and reconstruction problems” by Lala Huseynova, “Shah Khatai and tradition of ashug profession” by Fakhraddin Bakhshaliyev, “Turkism symbols in interpretation of Javanshir Guliyev” by Gulnara Manafova as well as speeches of representatives from other universities were heard at the ANC.
